Amirhossein Hamidi competed undergraduate studies at IUST (Iran University of Science and Technology), and a MSc at Sharif University. His MSc thesis involved bubble growth and formation, applicable to dissolution of gas into liquids, water treatment, and extraction of metals from ores. His PhD studies commenced in 2021 and is about transport of fibrous microplastic particles (MPs) in the air. He works within a team to replicate atmospheric transport in the laboratory in still and turbulent flows experimentally. This research will support advanced models for predicting transport and deposition MPs.
